Part 1 : Using the Right Tools

1. Use a good brush.

Brushes should fit comfortably in your hand, having a small head enough to reach all teeth; especially the back. 2. Replace your toothbrush regularly.

The bristles will wear out with time, losing flexibility and efficiency. You should buy a new one every 3 or 4 months, or as soon as the bristles begin to lose shape and spread. Visual inspection of the brush is more important than this date. It will not only help remove plaque, but also strengthen the tooth enamel. However, it is important to note that the paste with fluoride should not be swallowed, since excessive intake of this substance can cause health problems.You can get folders that can attack a variety of dental problems and gum, including cavities, tartar, teeth and sensitive gums, gingivitis and stains. Choose one that suits you best , or ask advice to your dentist or hygienist.

4. Use dental floss.

Using dental floss is as important as brushing your teeth, since the product removes accumulated plaque, bacteria and food particles that unachievable for the brushes. You should always pass the wire before brushing so that any food or bacteria that is released after the process does not remain in your mouth.Always remember to use the wire gently. No “key” the wire between your teeth as this can irritate sensitive gums. Thread the cord gently, following the curve of each tooth.

If you have trouble using the cord , prefer sticks. Small wooden sticks or plastic can be inserted between the teeth, providing the same results as flossing.

Part 2: Mastering Brushing Technique

1. Use a small amount of paste-to-tooth.

Put paste on brush in an amount of the size of a bean . Applying too much paste can cause excessive foaming, making you feel like spitting and end the process too soon. Furthermore, this increases the risk of ingesting more fluorine, which is not healthy.If brushing is painful, try to brush more gently or use a folder formulated for sensitive teeth.

2. Place the bristles at the gum line at a 45 degree angle.

3. Spend at least three minutes brushing .

Brush only a few teeth at a time; work around the mouth to touch all the teeth; pass about 12-15 seconds per point. If useful, you can divide your mouth into sectors: top left; upper right, lower left and lower right. If you spend 30 seconds on each sector, will brush the teeth within 2 minutes.If you feel bored, try brushing your teeth while watching TV or mutter a song for you during brushing. 4.Brush your molars.

Place your brush so that it is perpendicular to the lips, or so that the bristles rest on the lower molars. Use entries and output a brush moving back in front of the mouth. Repeat with the other side of the mouth. When the lower teeth are clean, turn the brush and work with the upper molars.

5. Brush the inside surfaces of your teeth.

Turn the brush so that your head is pointing toward the gumline and brush each tooth. Dentists report that the most commonly neglected area is the inside of the lower front teeth – so do not forget them

6. Gently brush your tongue.

After cleaning your teeth, use the bristles to gently clean the tongue. (Do not press too hard not to damage the fabric). This helps prevent bad breath and removes bacteria of tongue.

Part 3: Finishing

1. Wipe your mouth.

If you prefer dry after brushing, take a sip of water in a disposable cup, or join your hands under the faucet. Rinse water and spit it.Note that there is a debate about whether or not this is recommended. Although some feel it reduces the effectiveness of topical treatment with fluorine, others will want to ensure that no chemical component is swallowed. There are also those who do not like to use folder. 4. Remember to brush your teeth at least twice daily.

Most dentists recommend that you brush your teeth at least twice a day – once in the morning and before bed. If you can fit a third brushing between these two periods, the better. You could try to avoid eating snacks between meals whenever possible, as this makes more waste and bacteria to build up in your mouth.
