How to get rid of Alcohol Breath
Method 1: Eating and drinking
1. Eat before or while drinking.
Eating before drinking can help reduce alcohol on your breath. The food absorbs a portion of alcohol consumed, and stimulates saliva production. This can avoid dehydration (which increases the alcohol breath). Generally, some bars offer some snacks, like peanuts, which help customers not go wrong by excessive alcohol consumption. When going out to drink, try to consume some of these snacks from time to time.
If you are drinking in the house of a friend, offer to bring something to eat for the group. Take a few bags of chips or popcorn microwave. This will help you reduce the alcohol on your breath.
2. Eat onions and garlic.
Foods with a strong aroma can help overcome the drink of breath. The red onion and garlic smell remain in the breath for a long time, reducing the odour of alcohol. If you are at the bar, you can order some foods that have these ingredients. Some items with the base of garlic, such as garlic bread, are quite common in some establishments.
Add red onion on a sandwich, burger or salad after consuming alcohol.
Some people, when looking for a quick fix, simply eat onions or raw garlic. Although this is quite effective, keep in mind that the smell of these foods can be very strong. You not only start oozing from your mouth but also from your pores. If you are trying to get rid of alcohol breath for needing to go somewhere, this may not be the best option. Although it is more socially acceptable, but the garlic or onion breath can be as unpleasant as the alcohol.
3. Chew gum.
A gum can be very useful to eliminate alcohol from breath. It not only disguises the strong smell of drink, but also stimulates salivation. And it can help reduce alcohol on your breath. Try chewing gum flavour. This will cause excessive salivation, which can eliminate the alcohol breath faster. While it may be difficult to cope up with the taste at first, it becomes weaker while you chew the gum.
Mint chewing gums are a great option. A strong flavour of mint can quickly mask the whiff of alcohol and is often used to freshen breath.
4. Drink water or coffee.
The coffee and water consumption can help reduce alcohol on your breath. The water replenishes moisture lost by the consumption of alcohol and stimulates salivation, which reduces the alcohol smell on your breath. Coffee has a strong aroma, which can mask the unpleasant smell of the drink. However, coffee is a better option for the next morning. Mixing stimulants and antidepressants can cause a power surge, making you feel less drunk. This can make it drink inadvertently more than you can handle.
Method 2: Cleaning up
1. Brush your teeth for a minute or two more.
Brushing your teeth can help reduce bad breath associated with alcohol. Spend extra time taking care of your oral hygiene as it can help disguise bad breath. Use a strong toothpaste containing menthol. It is the most effective to combat alcohol breath.
Spend one or two more minutes brushing your teeth. You will need extra time to stop removing the alcohol residues and food that came in contact with the alcohol from your mouth.
2. Use dental floss.
Be sure to floss after a night of drinking. The food particles, which are dissolved in alcohol, are often trapped between the teeth. This contributes to the breath alcohol even after brushing your teeth well.
3. Use mouthwash.
After brushing and flossing, gargle with a mouthwash. It serves to eliminate bad breath and tends to leave a mint smell that helps to disguise the alcohol on his breath. Gargle for the time recommended on the package, usually 30 seconds, spit in the sink and rinse the mouth with water.
4. Take a bath.
Alcohol affects not only the breath, it also seeps through our pores, causing the body to exude a drink smell. Always take a shower before bedtime or in the morning after consuming alcohol. Take a normal shower, but washing the body with enough attention.
The strong smell of soaps, shampoos and conditioners can help eliminate the smell of alcohol.
Method 3 : Avoiding alcohol
1. Drink in moderation.
Drinking in moderation rather than drinking to excess, can lower the smell of alcohol. Try to consume a few drinks at night. Excessive consumption of alcohol can cause other problems in addition to the strong smell of drink, especially when it occurs frequently. Reduce alcohol consumption and avoid drinking to get drunk can help prevent alcohol on your breath. Try to consume one or two drinks per output.
2. Do not mix drinks.
Different drinks cause different smells. If you mix a variety of alcoholic beverages, it may worsen the overall smell exhaled by your body. Stick to just one type of drink per night, as this can reduce the alcohol on your breath.
3. Consume simple drinks.
Some cocktails containing various ingredients can generate a stronger smell than just beer, wine and liquor. Consume more simple drinks to avoid getting a strong whiff of alcohol.
