How to do Plow Pose – Halasana

Instructions to perform the HALASANA are as follows:

  1. Lie on your back, place your feet on the floor and push your arms to the ground to lift your legs until your knees are above your head.
  2. Place your hands on your back and stretch your legs back until your feet touches the floor behind the head.
  3. Keep your torso perpendicular to the ground and take your thighs and tailbone toward the ceiling, pulling the inside of the groin into the pelvis.
  4. You can stretch your arms with hands clasped and join the shoulder blades.Do not practice this posture if you have an injury in the upper back, neck or head.

Time

You can perform it for 1 to 2 minutes and increase the time as you progress in practice.
